Wicked Watersport Rentals

Ray Cowell

Cold Lake, AB

“In 2014, I began planning to build a watersport business that would rent non-motorized equipment on Kinosoo Beach in Cold Lake, Alberta. I had no experience in business planning and management and while visiting the Rural Alberta Business Centre was recommended to seek out advice from Community Futures Lakeland in Bonnyville. Community Futures provided me with the mentorship, advice and financial tools to start my business.

As the business grows, so does my vision; I couldn’t be happier with my brand, reputation, and consistent growth.

Community Futures Lakeland is instrumental for the development of small businesses here in the Lakeland. My business is a direct result of their support and services and as a business owner, community member and Director at the Cold Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce, their services have and will continue to have a positive economic impact in our community. I encourage anyone with a small or grand idea to head on over to Community Futures Lakeland and allow them to partner with you to fulfill your entrepreneurial dreams.”
